Did you know that the sharing your food not served at your event helps the environment, your community and also your wallet.

In Washington, DC, the Save Good Food Amendment Act creates a tax credit for the donation of certain healthy foods, up to 50% of the value of the contribution. For individuals that’s up to $2,500 per taxpayer per tax year, or $5,000 per corporation per tax year.
In addition, the Act expands liability protections to cover more forms of food donation. The DC Health and the Office of Waste Diversion will create a guide on food donation that will make it easier to prepare in advance to donate.
